Drop Down Antenna Mount

Easy to Make, Budget Friendly Antenna Mount

I thought I would repost in case anyone is looking for such a device, they are very simple to make.
Antenna mount, or anything else that needs to be lowered during travel.
Because I nearly choked at the cost of a factory unit, I made my own out of some scrap angle and about $10.00 worth of spacer, nut, and bolt.
A 3/8" shoulder bolt was the expensive part, about $6 at Ace, also used a nylon spacer and nylock nut to keep everything snug and secure.
Operation is completely toolless with the PTO pin to hold in place. Simply pull the pin, rotate, and reinsert the pin.
The roof mount is just some wood scrap held in place with Eternabond tape, it has been on the roof for over 20,000 miles with my original plastic mount that didn't last.
No holes in the roof using the tape.
Painted with VHT epoxy paint, that stuff just lasts.
